Of Friends & Whirlwinds: Contemporary Radical Currents in the United States

The Team Colors Collective will be joined by Chris Carlsson, Roxanne
Dunbar-Ortiz and others!
Explore contemporary radical currents with the Team Colors Collective and
celebrate their recently released AK Press title, Uses of a Whirlwind:
Movement, Movements, and Contemporary Radical Currents in the United States!
Uses of a Whirlwind, an edited collection of more then thirty contributors,
is more than just a snapshot of current activity, organizing, ideas, and
questions circulating among today’s radicals. It’s an opportunity for
organizers, theorists, strategists, and movement elders to share and
connect, to speak honestly of the challenges before us, to articulate new
demands and possibilities in the ongoing war against state and capital.
A short reading and presentation will be followed by a discussion period,
and we ask participants to bring stories and reflection of their own
organizing to the event.

Legal Forum and Conspiracy Tour

Attention organizers, activists, demonstrators, anarchists, community
members, schemers, protesters, action planners, and concerned
individuals!!!
If you have been arrested for political activity in the last few years or
consider future arrests a possibility, then come out for our Legal Forum!
If you've been represented by the NLG or Midnight Special in the past,
you'd better show up sukka!
Hosted by UA in the Bay, with Cold Snap Legal Collective, Copwatch, National Lawyer's Guild, The RNC 8 Conspiracy Tour, and some folks from the now disbanded Midnight Special Law Collective, the forum will include speakers, workshops, and discussion break outs.
Possible discussions for the forum include:
1) Round Table Legal Discussion, from those who've had your back
2) Community Bail and Bond strategies
3) Better strategies for solidarity and collective building with
"non-activist" arrestees, mass arrests
4) Affinity group focused legal discussion
Possible Workshops include:
1) How to get your lawyer to behave, based on your politics and
values workshop.
2) Grand Jury Defense Workshop
3) Copwatch workshop
